is 28 years old and comes from Birmingham. She studied English Language and Literature at St Hilda's College, Oxford, but spent far too much of her time there painting. She received an MA (with distinction) in the History of Art from the University of Birmingham, and recently completed her PhD thesis on the early works of David Hockney.
Her work has appeared in numerous prestigious exhibitions, including the Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition and the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery. In 2006, she became the youngest person ever to be elected a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. She has exceptionally small hands and feet.
